Detail Review

Asus Zenfone Max Review : It comes with the powerful Snapdragon 636 SOC and it’s a very powerful processor. This is the processor that you see in the Redmi note 5 pro so it’s a very powerful processor. It’s much powerful compared to the Snapdragon 625 or even the 630 and it shows in the performance though it just taking a bunch of RAM. The overall performance of the phone is very good and the processor is actually  very much optimized, Another good thing  that  about Asus Zenfone Max is that it comes with a massive battery that’s a 5,000 milliamp battery and the combination of the Snapdragon 636 and  5,000 milliamp power battery  means you get very good battery life.

You can easily get about one and a half to about two days of battery life. And you might think that  as it’s having that 5,000 milliamp battery, So the device will be  very heavy but we have to give full marks to weight distribution,  They have  done the weight distribution very well,  even though it has that 5,000 milliamp power battery the device does not feel very heavy to hold. It’s weight about 180 grams in fact it’s almost same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro. So in terms of weight balance Asus have done a very good job.

The screen that is a 5.9 Inch almost a 6 inch screen in this Asus zenfone max pro. It’s a very good quality screen and  in terms of contrast level,  It has contrast level that does 1/1500  which is actually pretty good and that gives a great quality when you’re  watching videos or stuffs like the pictures  the videos etc. It looks very good so in terms of screen they have done a good  job and also the screen has actually  easily visible even an outdoor sunlight  so you don’t have to worry too much about the screen.

Camera Quality

The 11,000 rupees variant and the 13,000 rupees Asus zenfone max pro both of them have the  same camera it’s a 13 + 5 megapixel.  At outdoor lighting conditions the camera performance was very good even the color reproduction was slightly more saturated but again very pleasing to the eyes. We also have the portrait mode by enable that you get background blur effect. Moving to artificial light, It also does a fairly  good job but in a very difficult  lighting situation yes it will be not as good as for example the Redmi Note 5 Pro but comes from the price point of this device at 11,000 Rs. the  rear facing camera performance is are decent.

We also did some gaming with this Asus device, we played some games, at the highest setting and Asus zenfone max pro played it fine, we also tried asphalt 8 at the highest graphics setting and Asus zenfone max proplayed it really fine. So the gaming performance of this phone is very good, thanks to the powerful Snapdragon 636 SOC.  So if you are sort of a gamer you don’t have to worry about battery as the battery capacity is huge you could do gaming continuously for a long long time and also regarding heating it  doesn’t exhibit any overheating issues , yes when you play the games a lot for a long time the back will get slightly  warm but no issues of any overheating.

Speakers Quality

It’s a mono speaker but it is good enough also you should know that the Asus zenfone max pro just having a single speaker setup, So no stereos speaker setup that you’re  getting but the speaker is actually  adequately loud, We would say it is louder  than most other Android phones but not  the loudest. So in terms of speaker,  it’s having that single speaker it’s  good enough but again it’s not a steel  setup that you are getting with this Asus zenfone max pro.

True 4G Sense

The best thing about Asus zenfone max pro is  that  it is one of those very smart  phones in this price range that has  support for true 4G sense for example  both the Sims can latch onto the 4G signal and yes it does support true dual 4G VOLTE and this is not the case with almost every other phone because when you make one SIM active as 4G the other reverse to 2g or 3G but on this  both can be on 4G which is a big deal because many of the networks will be moving to 4G so that is supported on  Asus zenfone max pro.

Also it have a tiny LED notification at the top and it’s a multicolored one for example when you’re charging it’s grey color but when you get a missed call then it blinks in green color. Further it has all the sensors that you would expect. For example auto brightness and even gyroscope is there but the only sensor that is not present on this device is the NFC sensor but again you don’t find NFC sensor on budget oriented smartphones and even the Redmi  Note 5 Pro does not have NFC so apart  from that all the sensors that you would  expect are present on this device.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro is sort of a value for money smart phone

So here is the conclusion our article Asus Zenfone Max Review: For 11,000 rupees you are getting a very powerful processor that is the Snapdragon 636, a very good quality screen of 18: 9 aspect ratio and that massive 5,000  milliamp power battery that might last you almost two days and if you are sort of very heavy user, also it will last you for over a day so in those aspects it’s a very good Android device and we also like the fact that Asus is sticking close to Android UI so again the update  situation should be a lot faster on this  device so those aspects it’s a very good device and it has a decent camera but the  downsides of this smartphone are the weak front-facing camera and that slow fingerprint scanner but apart from that  we would say yes this is a value for money device.
